Inter Milan wrapped up the previous season by sealing the 5^th spot of the Italian League, Serie A and it has already been confirmed that Walter Mazzarri will continue being in charge of Inter Milan for the next campaign. Mazzarri and the president of Inter Milan, Erick Thohir want to improve the squad hoping that it can allow them fight against some of the best teams of Europe in the Champions League which is why they are expected to have a busy transfer window with a large number of players in the radar of the Italian club.

Erick Lamela is one of the priority players of Mazzarri as the 22 years old Argentine player enjoyed going through impressive back to back seasons when he played for As.Roma and attracted the attention of Tottenham as they were willing to pay €25.8 million for Lamela but ever since he made his move to the Premier League club, he suffered a dramatic loss of form as well as suffering from injuries which disabled him from performing at his peak.

Mazzarri is now seeing this as a chance for him to sign Erick Lamela and restore his former glory days but he will have to race to secure the services of the Argentinean winger as he is also in the wish-list of other clubs such as: Fiorentina and Napoli.

Lamela was brought into Tottenham at White Hart Lane as a way to fill in the boots of Gareth Bale who was already transferred to Real Madrid. His disappointing debut season with Tottenham was one of the main reasons on why Alejandro Sabella decided not to put him in his 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup.

Javier Hernandez and Tom Ince are some of the other players which have been heavily linked with Inter Milan. Mazzarri wants to rejuvenate the squad by bringing in young players while some of the veteran and senior players of the squad are already seeing their way out such as Javier Zanetti.

Juventus lifted their 3^rd consecutive Serie A title in a stunning fashion as the Italian side concluded the season by reaching 102 points at the end of it all which is a feat that had not been accomplished by any team in Serie A ever.

Antonio Conte guided Juventus to what was a fairly comfortable league title as their nearest rivals (As.Roma) came in 2^nd place and they ended up 17 points behind Juventus.

Even though Juventus has already proven that they have what it takes to be considered the best team in Italy, there are a few players which are on the wish-list of Conte.

Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal is on the priority list of Juventus and it has already been confirmed as the CEO of the club Beppe Marotta confirmed their interest for the Chilean midfielder.

“We’re looking for a versatile player who can operate in several positions. We are looking for a quick wide attacker. We would like to have a player like Sanchez but there aren’t many players like him at the moment and we shouldn’t forget that Barcelona made a big investment to get him. But I repeat, he’s a player we would like to have.” Marotta said.

Throughout the entire season there is a player in the Italian club which has sparked the interest of some Premier League top clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola revealed that his client has settled well in Italy with Juventus and that a number of meetings will be made in the upcoming few days concerning his future.

“I knew that I brought Paul into an honest club. Pavel Nedved rates Paul enormously. Juve have just announced that Pogba is not for sale. We’ll see in the next few meetings what will happen. Pogba doesn’t have to leave at all costs he’s happy in Turin. We’ll see further on.

“Pogba will only leave Juventus if everyone agrees to it and if we get the right offer at the right time.” Raiola stated.

Demba Ba’s 87^th minute was the last deciding element that Chelsea needed in order to knock out PSG from the Champions League in a forgetful match for Edinson Cavani.

The home leg match between Chelsea and PSG saw the French side snatching a 3-1 advantage and Eden Hazard’s injury was turning things even tougher for Jose Mourinho and his players as they now had to play at Stamford Bridge hoping to overcome their deficit and somehow find a place into the last 4 remaining teams in the Champions League.

Andre Schurrle came off of the bench at the 18^th minute as he had to replace Eden Hazard who was removed from the pitch due to an injury but the substitute player made almost an immediate impact as he scored the opening goal of the match only minutes after having entered the battle fray.

After receiving a pass from David Luiz, Schurrle slotted the ball past Salvatore Sirigu and gave hope to Chelsea as well as their fans that there still is a chance for them to get into the next stages of the Champions League as they only had 1 more goal left to score.

Edinson Cavani had a few golden opportunities to seal the game for PSG but it was a horrible night for the Uruguayan forward who had the chance to become the hero for his club but just couldn’t do it.

As the minutes ticked down PSG was trying to hold on to their lead and just when it seemed like the French squad was going to take home the victory, Demba Ba managed to touch a deflected shot from Azpilicueta and he diverted it past the reach of Sirigu as he last goal which Chelsea needed in order to knock out PSG from the European competition.

Juventus had a hard time trying to overcome Genoa as the side of Antonio Conte had to wait until the 89^th minute for Andrea Pirlo to step it up and score the only goal of the entire match which edged out a crucial victory for Juventus as they collected all 3 points and continue their march at the top of Serie A.

Andrea Pirlo has always been known and admired for his dead-ball skills and according to Gianluigi Buffon, the veteran shot-stoppers revealed that every-time Pirlo has the ball under his control, he is a threat and he can allow the team to dream even in the most dyer moments.

“Did I have hope when I saw Pirlo on the free kick?  Of course. There’s always hope when Pirlo’s on the ball, even if he’s in my penalty area. He’s one of those players who allow you to dream at any given moment when he has the ball at his feet.” Buffon said.

Gianluigi Buffon has now made 476 appearances for Juventus in all competitions which put him equal with Dino Zoff and he revealed what it feels like matching the record of the previous goalkeeper as well as talking about their current situation in the Italian League, Serie A.

“It feels strange to be placed alongside Zoff. He is a legend of the sport all over the world and especially for players in my position. This makes me realize how far I’ve come, but it also leaves me uneasy, because I don’t feel worthy of being compared with Zoff.”

“It makes us very proud to have won this game and we hope the fans and club can be proud too, as we proved this team knows how to suffer under pressure and roll their sleeves up. Is it another brick in the wall of the Scudetto? More than a brick I’d call it a landslide!” Buffon added.

Nemanja Vidic’s future has recently been a topic of discussion as the Manchester United captain stated his desire to leave the club which is now being led by David Moyes and while it still is not completely sure on why the Serbian wants to exit the club, if something is certain its where his next football destination will be.

The Serbian defender has agreed a deal with the Italian side Inter Milan with a contract that will be seeing Vidic staying in his new club for 2 years and he is expected to earn €2.5m a year. The veteran defender is in the final 6 months of his contract and he was given the freedom to discuss his future with other clubs.

When the current campaign ends, Vidic is going to be making his way to the Serie A as he joins Inter Milan.

The head boss of Inter Milan, Walter Mazzari is also taking into consideration a few more players from Manchester United including Luis Nani and Patrice Evra.

The Portuguese winger Luis Nani has fallen down from the pecking order of the English club and has been rumored to exit Manchester United with Juventus keeping close tabs on him and Inter Milan has joined the race to sign him.

Piero Ausilito is the technical director of Inter Milan and he has been attending some of the recent matches that Evra has played as they want to be completely sure on what the French defender is capable of doing at his age but there is strong interest in Evra as he will out of contract in the summer, giving the opportunity for Inter Milan or any other club to sign him on a bargain deal.
